Food List

One question I get asked a lot is “what do you eat?” Below is a sample of some foods I regularly eat. It is not a meal plan and should not be considered as such. I eat a diet comprised of mostly whole foods, very little dairy and no red meat. That is just my personal preference and not a recommendation. More information on clean eating can be found here.

What’s on my grocery list?

Proteins:
– egg whites
– lean organic cage free chicken breast
– lean ground turkey breast
– low-sodium tuna in water (I like Bumble Bee brand)
– Gold Standard 100% Natural Whey Protein (vanilla)
– tilapia
– salmon

Carbs:
– old fashioned rolled oats
– Ezekiel bread
– long-grain brown rice
– organic beans (black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans)
– sweet potato
– brown rice cakes

Veggies:
– broccoli
– cauliflower
– brussels sprouts
– spinach
– zucchini
– squash
– eggplant
– tomatoes
– carrots
– green beans
– kale
– cucumber
– sweet peppers (red, orange, yellow, green)

Fruits:
– banana
– apples
– berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries)

Other:
– nuts (almonds, walnuts, pine nuts)
– nut butters (peanut and almond)
– Shakeology
– almond milk
– cottage cheese
– greek yogurt
– homemade protein bars (never packaged)
– dark chocolate
– coffee
– green tea
